Demura-shihan

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Fumio Demura-shihan who passed away last week. Demura-shihan was the original practicitioner of karate for 'The Karate Kid' movies and was a pioneer of karate across the globe.
He acted as special advisor to Kodō Butoku Renmei and we were lucky enough to have him attend Kodōsai 2013 as our headline teacher.
Our condolences go out to his family, friends, students and all those who were lucky enough to learn from him.
