Tott-kyoshi

It is with the utmost sadness that we inform you that Brian Tott-kyōshi 7th Dan has passed away. 

Tott-kyōshi was a driving force behind Kodō Butoku Renmei’s work in the UK, being one of the core teachers for Iaido, as well as Haiku (Japanese poetry). He held the position of Head of Iaido for the UK.  His skill, grace and virtue led to him being invited to demonstrate his art in front of many dignitaries at various events. 

He also took part in various Taikai events in Italy and felt a wonderful connection with our Italian members and family members.

His warmth, sense of humour and decency made him not just a fantastic teacher, but a fantastic person. He was a very close friend of the Grayston family and his loss will be felt by so many across the world.
